Blue Hole Santa Rosa, New Mexico

We stopped in Santa Rosa New Mexico and found our way to the Blue Hole. The Blue Hole of Santa Rosa is a round shaped pool east of Santa Rosa, New Mexico that is one of the most popular dive and all around fun destinations in the US for jumping in.

The surface is only 80 feet (24 m) in diameter but it expands to a diameter of 130 feet (40 m) at the bottom. The Blue Hole is a clear blue body of water with a constant 62 °F (17 °C) temperature and an amazing constant inflow of 3,000 gallons of water per minute.

I shot the Blue Hole with my Nikon D500 and Tamron 10-24 lens and a Nikon 1 J5 camera with 70-300 lens for the zoom in shots.

When we arrived at the Blue Hole a group of divers was just getting ready to go in for a dive and I shot a few photos of some tourist that has come by to jump in. The Blue Hole has crystal clear water just like many places in Florida we have been at.
